Travel to Russia is allowed with restrictions to residents of high-risk countries.
Foreign nationals traveling to the airports of Russia, including those in transit to other countries through Russia, must present a certificate with a negative Covid-19 PCR result in English or Russian. Note that you need to take the test no earlier than two calendar days before arriving in Russia.
You’ll also need to fill out the questionnaire (available in Russian with English translation) before arrival to follow the rules of quarantine control. You can download it on the Aeroflot website.
A negative PCR test result, taken within the previous 48 hours, is required on arrival.
You’ll have to wear personal protective equipment to board the plane as well as throughout the flight.
Foreign nationals will be requested to provide proof of medical insurance covering the treatment of possible coronavirus infection.
As Omicron spreads around the world, Russia temporarily restricts entry for residents of the following states: South Africa, Botswana, Lesotho, Namibia, Zimbabwe, Mozambique, Madagascar, Eswatini, Tanzania, Hong Kong, and Kenya. Restrictions apply also if you visited one of these countries 14 days or less prior to your arrival in Russia.
Can I travel to Russia?

UK travelers
The UK citizens are allowed to travel to Russia, but they’ll need to follow entry rules. See Russia travel advisory at this link.
On arrival in Russia, you’ll need to provide proof of a negative PCR test taken within the previous 48 hours. Quarantine is not required.
On return to the UK, vaccinated tourists are exempt from testing requirements. Unvaccinated travelers will need to take a pre-departure COVID-19 test (taken within the previous 48 hours) and may be required to undergo quarantine. EU / Schengen visitors
Travel from Europe to Russia is allowed. On arrival in Russia, you’ll need to provide proof of a negative PCR test taken within the previous 48 hours. Quarantine is not required on your arrival in Russia except for travelers who visited the red list countries within the last 14 days. Make sure to check your country's regulations for details.
US travelers
The US nationals are allowed to travel to Russia. It’s required to present a negative PCR test, taken within the previous 48 hours, on arrival.
You may be required to undergo further health control on arrival, such as a temperature check. In case of a high temperature, you’ll need to take a PCR test. If it’s positive, you’ll need to self-isolate until a negative result is obtained.
On return to the US, vaccinated tourists are recommended to self-isolate for 5 days and take a viral test 3 to 5 days after arrival. Non-vaccinated tourists need to self-isolate for 7 days, except for those recovered from COVID-19 in the previous 90 days.
